PS3 Call of Duty Black Ops Bundle Review

Now this is going to be a short review of what is included with the Call of Duty Black Ops bundle and the PS3 console itself.

PS3 Console:

The console included in this bundle is the new PS3 Slim. This is the 160 GB model and sells for $299.99 in all major and online stores. What's included with the console is the power cord, TV input cord, USB cord, wireless Dualshock controller, and the console itself.

After setting up the console, I was surprised by how quiet it is. On my original PS3 (the old, fat 40 GB model) the fan was very loud after a couple hours of use. In this model, I hardly hear anything. In fact, I'm not too sure now if I have it on or off when I go to leave the house. The console also has a sleek, newer look, offering physical buttons instead of the old touch-sensitive ones. The glossy finish is gone, however. I can say I'm happy that a Dualshock controller is included. The normal retail price of them alone is $55 to $60. It comes with the standard black color, and I wished that I could choose a different color but oh well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this console and recommend you buy a Slim if your looking for a new one.

Call of Duty Black Ops Bundle

In this bundle, you get the Call of Duty Black Ops game and a 12-digit code to redeem the DLC First Strike for free (Black Ops first DLC). Now this bundle I bought at Kmart because there was a special going on that if you bought this bundle at their store, you would get Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for free as well. Now that is a great deal. Not only are you getting two critically acclaimed first-person shooters, but if you don't want the games you can sell them and actually make a profit back. I suggest that if you want to get Modern Warfare 2 with this bundle, you need to hurry over to your local Kmart before this Sunday (June 12th).

In conclusion, this bundle is phenomenal. I highly recommend it to anyone that is either wanting to buy a new PS3 or is looking to upgrade. And for those of you wondering if you can switch out your old hard drives, you can (put a 500 GB one in mine).
